Q: Is the TRICORE10 for experienced triathletes or beginners? Sprint or IRONMAN?
A: TRICORE10 is designed for triathletes of all levels, all distance goals, and various weaknesses or individual needs. I designed the program to balance between fitness gains, advanced recovery, accelerated performance and all the attributes needed to boost performance for all levels. All the while keeping in mind NOT to demolish your body, so you can get back to the swim, bike, run feeling ENERGIZED and ready to PERFORM!
Q: I'm more of a cyclist, can I still use the TRICORE10 and/or TRI-HIT30 workouts?
A: I am a firm believer that "fitness first" is the best way to improve both cycling specific and triathlon specific fitness. The TRICORE10 and TRI-HIT30 workouts will offer benefit for both agendas, just keep in mind that I have purposely added several running specific and swim building workouts to the plan that you can choose to use if you so with.
Q: Are these workouts done on the bike?
A: The TRICORE10 workouts are primarily off-the-bike core and functional training sessions to BUILD the fitness needed for stronger swim, bike, and run. That being said, you can (and should) use them as "bricks" along with your triathlon training as they are intended to add in the weak-spot training before, during and after your workouts for maximum effectiveness. The TRI-HIT30 workouts however are on-the-bike high intensity sessions to maximize your metabolic fitness for both bike and run. These workouts are super-tough and very focused on the needs of both the everyday triathlet AND everyday cyclist.
Q: Are these just re-hashed Cyclo-CORE workouts?
A: NO! The new TRICORE10 workouts offer new exercises, combinations, and physical demands designed specifically for triathlon fitness needs. Although I will ALWAYS carry over the lessons learned from previously successful programs, I have developed something NEW to utilize for the thouands of triathletes I serve.
